Professional Dog Training
Highland
Canine Training, LLC offers a large variety of dog training programs designed
to suit you and your dog's needs. We work with owners to customize our training
programs for their individual needs.
Group Lessons are a great way to socialize your dog with a variety of people and dogs while working to improve your dog's obedience. We offer a variety of group lessons including puppy socialization, basic obedience, advanced obedience, dog tricks, and therapy dog classes. Group classes are one hour in duration and occur weekly. Classes are six weeks in duration unless otherwise specified.
Private lessons are wonderful for clients who are looking for more individualized attention. The hour long training sessions are designed to improve your dog's obedience while teaching owners how to implement what is taught into their everyday life. Private lessons are incredibly beneficial to owner's who have dogs with behavioral problems. One-on-one, our trainers can work with owners to remedy these problems and allow owners to have the confidence to continue to maintain their dog's training. Knowing that your dog is fully rehabilitated or has the proper obedience training to behave appropriately inside the home gives owners peace of mind and hope for a happy future with their dog. Private lessons are held once a week and are designed to suit owner's individual requirements regarding their dog's training.
In Kennel training is for dog owners who want their dogs to have obedience training but do not have the time to invest in training them. In Kennel training means that your dog will stay with us for the duration of their training period. Dogs enrolled in the In Kennel training program will be worked with multiple times every day in obedience training and if needed behavior modification. Training length varies based on the how much training the owners want their dogs to have and on the severity of any behavioral problem being addressed. Once the dog has completed the In Kennel program, owners will meet with the trainer to pick up their dog. At this time our trainers will work with the owners to ensure that they understand how to maintain their dog's obedience training.
In Home training provides dogs with customized training in the comfort of their own homes. Several times each week our trainers come to your home to train your dogs. Working with client's dogs inside the home allows our trainers to view the dog's behaviors in their own environment. Trainers can then work to remedy any issues that the owner would like resolved. Owners who participate in the In Home training program will meet with the trainers once a week to learn what the trainer has taught the dog and to receive advice about maintaining their dog's obedience training.
Behavior Modification
Behavior
Modification means rehabilitating dogs that have behavioral problems.
Often issues arise in our canine companions that are too severe to fix without
the help of a professional. Highland Canine Training, LLC works with owners
to fix these issues and shows owners how they can work with
their dogs to maintain the training their dog has received.
Sometimes, dog owners are under the misconception that there is no way to rehabilitate their dogs. Their dog's behavior is so severe that they lose hope of ever being able to peacefully coexist with their dogs. Don't give up. We can help you determine the reason for your dog's behavior and find a solution to fix the problem.
Our training has been proven to solve a number of behavioral issues such as fear, various phobias, dominance related issues, biting, and other forms of aggression. We can work with owners and resolve these issues. Lisa has experience in working and rehabilitating a number of shelter dogs that were unable to be adopted due to the severity of their behavioral issues. If you have a dog exhibiting any behavioral issues, please contact Lisa at 504.858.5284 or email her at lscobel@highlandcanine.com.
